For you 04:38
FOR YOU KARL ROBINS The lights of England in the distance, The memories beating like a drum. Into the heart of a love so true, On the wings of the dreams to come, On the wings of the dreams to come. And thoughts of hope and understanding, they touch your soul to set you free. Just like the rising of the summer breeze, or the waves on the rolling seas, Or the waves on the rolling seas. REFRAIN. And you know if I could be there, to share the things you do, I'd be singing this song, singing this song, I'd be singing this song ...for you. I've spent some time in crazy thinking, somehow it all comes out the same, But from the sinking there's a kind of peace, like the sun shining through the rain, Like the sun shining through the rain. And I can see the future clearly, I know the dawn of each new day, Brings out wishes and a need so strong, to the start of the passion play, To the start of the passion play. REFRAIN. And you know if I could be there, to share the things you do. I'd be dreaming this dream, dreaming this dream, I'd be dreaming this dream for you.

Those words you know I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight, Can’t get you out of my mind I don’t want to close my eyes on this crazy loving time Street lights flicker and the rain outside, Comes down my windowpane Soft music in the cool of the air keeps you in the frame I want to hold on, hold on tight And never let you go I want feel you close to me And whisper sweet and low… those words you know I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight, Can’t get you out of my mind I don’t want to dream tonight I’m scared of what I’ll find Voices talking in the distance Comes floating to my brain Dark shadows take the long way round then back to earth again I want to hold on, hold on tight And never let you go I want feel you close to me And whisper sweet and low… those words you know I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight, Can’t get you out of my mind Strange I never saw it coming this time, Its pain but a different kind It hangs in clouds like a lightning strike Looking for a place to belong Armour cracked and sword in pieces all my defences gone I want to hold on, hold on tight And never let you go I want feel you close to me And whisper sweet and low… those words you know

This Night 04:09
This Night Karl Robins 12/2/02 Looking through my eyes, You're still a million miles away Lost in your innocence, not knowing what to say. It doesn't come easy I could help you if you'd try But there's so many broken wings, there's nowhere left to fly. Chorus So look into your heart Take another step into the dark And Love will fly with you and Love Will be right there with you and Love My Love will see you through this night Caught in the silence, Can you feel it in your bones? Stuck in the middle ground, you've come to call your own. Could you believe it? Could you take another chance? Come down from your pedestal and try to join the dance. Chorus: as before And when you're heading for the dream When the winds are trying to move you from your course Yes when resistance seems so strong It only takes a thought and you belong Chorus: as before Instrumental and chorus

Wait and see 03:53
Wait and see Karl Robins You’re walking down that windy road Just where you’re going nobody knows I’ll take you where the flowers grow Take you where the rivers flow Take you where you want to go just wait and see You pick the card you have to choose There’s some you win and there’s some you lose Some just keep on passing by Some may never catch your eye But some re like the summer skies, just wait and see CHORUS And all that you know, all that you care All that you feel, all that you share All that is right, all that is fair will reach you wait and see I don’t understand it all How some keep running while others fall Old friends fade and fall from view But new ones keep on coming through I know that it’s the same for you just wait and see. CHORUS: AS BEFORE You’re walking down that windy road Just where you’re going nobody knows I’ll take you where the flowers grow Take you where the rivers flow Take you where you want to go just wait and see

Dancing with Ghosts Karl Robins Sarah waits in the old house, by the mainstreet store Looking out of the window of the second floor. Jimmy looks as he passes by Just like he’s done a million times before. Wondering if she remembers If she ever thinks about him any more. There was a time when he’d hold her and her eyes would shine Sweet words between them and the world seemed fine. Then the night when the wind changed And the memories flooded back into her mind. And the words that she said then That she had to be cruel to be kind. She said… CHORUS I could tell you what I want, give you all I can Take you home but it won’t be right And if it’s any consolation you’d a better chance than most But I’m still dancing with ghosts. And he took his desperation and went on his way Hoping his frustration would fade some day. And Sarah took a journey inside her head And she swore she’d never take that chance again. And she’d never need to tell them Never need to hear her harsh voice saying… CHORUS: AS BEFORE One morning in the springtime, she woke to find All the feelings that she thought she’d left behind And she slept through the night-time Waiting for the sun to shine again. And she woke and she felt fine Saw Jimmy standing out there in the rain, and she said… CHORUS I could tell you what you want, give you all I can And this time it just feels right. And if it’s any consolation, I’ve loved you more than most Now I’m not dancing with ghosts. © Karl Robins and Andy Waterhouse (29/9/1997)
